Nigeria Field Update — Two Deployments. Here’s What Happened.
The Situation
Nigeria’s Middle Belt and northern regions are experiencing sustained, targeted violence against Christian communities. Armed attacks, displacement, and killings are ongoing — often in areas with no outside support infrastructure and limited local capacity to respond. The believers who remain do so with courage and very few resources.
This is not a future concern. It is the current reality for hundreds of thousands of people.
What E3RF Did
Over two deployments, our team worked directly alongside trusted local partners already operating in these areas. Here is what that produced:
- 300+ local security personnel received hands-on medical training — equipping first responders with skills to preserve life when outside medical support is unavailable.
- One vehicle delivered to a local ministry partner — enabling movement of food, personnel, and aid into communities that are otherwise difficult to reach.
- Food and material aid distributed to vulnerable communities facing chronic instability.
- One solar-powered well installed in a remote Christian village — giving families direct access to safe water inside their community, reducing dependence on sources controlled by violent actors, and meeting a critical need with lasting impact.
- Firsthand ground-level reporting completed across both deployments, giving senior stakeholders an accurate picture of conditions, needs, and where resources can be most effectively applied.
Why Local Partnership Matters
The organizations already operating in these regions have trust, access, and cultural context that outside groups cannot replicate quickly. E3RF’s role is to resource and support those partners – with training, logistics, and presence – so their existing work can go further.
How to Engage
E3RF is actively seeking partners – individuals, churches, and institutions – who want to support verifiable, ground-level work. If you want to put resources directly into one of the most underserved crisis environments in the world, give to E3RF today.
